The islands contain a variety of animals. Animals provide food, items and experience once killed, and sometimes leave behind a baby animal which can be tamed by the Beastmaster. For this reason, it is very profitable to kill any that are encountered, provided they can be killed easily at that point in time. Some are passive and will flee upon being struck, while others are actively aggressive and may kill you if you're not careful.

• Fawn, can mature into Elk (Pet) and Adult Elk
• Wolf Pup, can mature into Jungle Wolf and Adult Jungle Wolf
• Bear Cub, can mature into Jungle Bear and Adult Jungle Bear

There is a group of much stronger creatures with precious item drops. These are the Bosses, and often will require at least two players to kill, though a single troll with the proper equipment can take one down.
